Best tight end picks for Divisional round DFS

Who are the best TE picks for the Divisional round weekend on DraftKings?

With George Kittle, Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews all playing this weekend, we get plenty of studs to choose from. All three are worth spending up for, but it will be tough to do so and have a balanced lineup with so many studs also worth paying up for this week. There are some value option on the slate, but they are mostly high risk and not much reward.

Jacob Hollister, who looked ready to go off after three touchdowns in Weeks 9 and 10, hasn’t found the end zone since and has topped out at 64 receiving yards on the season. Darren Fells is a touchdown or bust option, Jonnu Smith doesn’t see enough work and is in a tough matchup. Jimmy Graham has three touchdowns on the season, with 65 yards being his highest number on the year. Kyle Rudolph is coming off a game-winning touchdown but the 49ers are tough on tight ends and Rudolph is extremely inconsistent.

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs ($6,400) vs. Texans

Kelce led all tight ends in receptions, yards and fantasy points and has only been below eight targets three times all season. He’s topped five receptions all but five times and seven receptions in six of his last eight games. George Kittle is the only tight end we can compare him to on this slate and he costs slightly more and faces a Vikings defense that has allowed just one touchdown to a tight end all season. Since Week 7, the Texans have allowed the third-most fantasy points to tight ends while the Vikings have given up the third-fewest.

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens ($5,600) vs. Titans

Andrews doesn’t play nearly the number of snaps that Kittle and Kelce do, but he’s Top-5 in fantasy points, as he led the league in tight end touchdowns with 10, the only tight end to hit double-digit touchdowns this season. His DK points take a hit due to his limited receptions, but he still ended fifth in total receiving yards for the position. And this week he faces a Titans defense that allowed the seventh-most DK points to tight ends. His price is still lofty, but it’s a value when compared to Kittle and Kelce.

Jacob Hollister, Seattle Seahawks ($4,000) vs. Packers

Hollister ranks ninth in tight end targets since he started starting in Week 7 and 12th in DK points. It isn’t that difficult to get in the Top-12 in most categories for such a weak position, but he’s consistently seeing targets and especially red zone targets, which he has 12 of since Week 9. Those 12 targets rank second for tight ends in that span. The Packers have been below average against tight ends this season and rank 24th in DVOA against the position. Hollister is likely my go-to this week at tight end if I can’t pay up for any of the three studs. Jimmy Graham and Kyle Rudolph also have some appeal at their prices, but I feel safer with Hollister.
