Ravens RB Mark Ingram still battling calf injury

Mark Ingram’s status for the Divisional Round remains murky because of his lingering calf injury.

The Divisional Round is three days away and Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram’s status for Saturday is still up in the air. He hasn’t practiced in full since before he suffered a calf injury in Week 16.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Ingram looked good executing running drills earlier this week and seemed optimistic that he’d be available for this weekend’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans. But the team’s reluctancy to move toward the next step in his recovery is ominous.

At this point, it’s very unlikely Ingram will pick up where he left off and get his regular workload against the Titans. Baltimore depends on the run heavily and should prioritize preserving Ingram for the long run over wearing him out early.

If Ingram does play, expect him to be limited. If he doesn’t, expect Gus Edwards to get a ton of touches. Edwards rushed for 130 yards in Week 17 and should be assisted by Justice Hill if promoted to RB1 for the Divisional Round.
