UPDATE: Taysom Hill had a quiet day going after the big pass, but he’s now added a 20-yard touchdown reception to cut the Vikings lead to 20-17.
The first NFC Wild Card game got off to a slow start, but New Orleans Saints gadget player Taysom Hill sparked the offense in the second quarter. The Saints sent him out at QB in place of Drew Brees for one play and he found wide receiver Deonte Harris deep down the field to set up 1st and goal at the Minnesota Vikings 4-yard line. On the next play, Alvin Kamara punched in the touchdown to give New Orleans a 10-3 lead.
The Vikings secondary appears to have miscommunicated on the deep coverage, but Xavier Rhodes still came within a few inches of breaking up the pass.
The man can do it all.
