Josh Allen will make his first start in the NFL playoffs this Saturday, and he has a friendly match-up with the Houston Texans 29th ranked pass defense. Josh Allen was able to finish out the regular season as the sixth ranked fantasy football quarterback, averaging 18.0 points per game. Can Allen step-up when it matters and deliver a solid performance to advance to the second round of playoffs? We break down the fantasy implications below.

Fantasy Football Advice, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen

Over the past six weeks, the Texans have allowed an average of 17.2 fantasy football points to quarterbacks. That statistic is skewed by a Jameis Winston performance in which he unraveled for four interceptions and a total of 0.11 fantasy points. If that performance is removed, the Texans have allowed an average of 20.7 points to opposing quarterbacks in the last five games.

Josh Allen has proven that he can get things done both on the ground and through the air this season. The return of JJ Watt certainly gives a boost to the Texans defense, but Allen still has the most favorable match-up of all quarterbacks this weekend. With a DFS salary of $6,500, Allen is at the higher end for the quarterback position. However, with the starting quarterbacks all within a $1,000 range in salary and Allen’s upside this week, he’s worth the small bump in price.
