Top NBA DFS value plays on DraftKings, Jan. 30

We break down some of the top value plays for Thursday’s six-game slate on Draftkings.

Washington Wizards v Milwaukee Bucks

There are six games on tonight’s slate and a few potential spots for value. There a couple of teams with notable injury information. First, the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to get Paul George and Patrick Beverley back from injuries. This kills the pricing value we had on some cheap Clippers’ players in recent games. A more DFS beneficial update, the Philadelphia 76ers have listed both Al Horford and Mike Scott as questionable. Since Josh Richardson has been ruled out in advance, there is going to be a some minutes up for grabs. Here are some cheap players to consider.

Shake Milton, SG/SF, PHI at ATL, $4,200

Due to all the injuries the Sixers are dealing with, Milton has been starting. The results have been decent and he’s averaging 20.75 DKFP across his two starts. There is reason to think that he could put up a bigger game tonight. Milton as a great matchup against the Atlanta Hawks who are ranked 28th in defensive efficiency. There is also a chance this game turns into a blowout and Milton typically plays during garbage time.

Kevin Porter, SG/SF, CLE vs. TOR, $4,000

After missing 10 games because of a knee injury, Porter is back for the Cleveland Cavaliers and his minutes are trending up. In his return game, he played just 16 minutes, but he got up to 26 minutes on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans and scored 29.5 DKFP. Since that game was also on the tail end of a back-to-back, it looks like we can expect Porter to play his normal minutes going forward.

Thomas Bryant, PF/C, WAS vs. CHA, $5,200

The Washington Wizards have been really hesitant to play Bryant big minutes lately. Considering he missed six weeks because of a stress reaction in his foot, it’s reasonable that he hasn’t been pushed into playing big minutes. With that said, the tide may be changing after the Wizards’ most recent game.

Bryant played 32 minutes and scored 44 DKFP in Wednesday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. It was only the second time he’s played over 20 minutes since coming back from his injury. He might not play 32 minutes again, but playing 25 or more minutes could lead to a nice result since he scores well over a fantasy point per minute for the season. This is also a matchup he has a good chance of succeeding in since the Charlotte Hornets allow the most DKFP to centers of any team in the league.
