Who to play of Tyreek Hill vs. George Kittle in Super Bowl DFS

We break down how should evaluate the DFS values of Tyreek Hill and George Kittle for Super Bowl contests on Draftkings.

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs both have All-Pro pass catchers, but only one side is taking full advantage of their talent in the air. The Chiefs’ primary focus in Super Bowl 54 will be to get the ball in the hands of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. The 49ers, on the other hand, haven’t made getting star tight end George Kittle during their championship run.

Hill is coming off his best game of the postseason and scored two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans in the AFC title game. Kittle is in the middle of the slump and is an afterthought in an offense focused that’s dedicated to the run. We break down how you should go about playing these two in Showdown DFS contests on Sunday.

Fantasy football analysis: Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill and 49ers TE George Kittle

Hill’s prices ($16,500, $11,000) are up significantly from last week despite the fact that he’ll be playing against a more competitive secondary. He tallied 13 DKFP against the New England Patriots this year 10.1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Both of those teams had top five passing defenses, and held him under is season average of 16.1 DKFP per game. His best games this season have come against secondaries that are average or worse. Three of his top five fantasy performances came against the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. Both were bottom 10 teams against the pass.

Kittle isn’t expected to have a big game, and his Showdown value ($12,600/$8,400) has dropped. Three receptions for 35 yards and no scores isn’t a good look for a player who should be a staple in his team’s offense. Kittle’s six postseason targets is also discouraging. Can we really expect San Francisco to do a complete 180 and abandon its successful run-first strategy in the Super Bowl?

DFS Recommendations

Hill could be a captain or priority flex play while Kittle should only be considered as a flex.
