Teams remain keen on adding Washington Wizards F Davis Bertans prior to the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported. Like the Marcus Morris report in the same article, the Wizards would like to retain Bertans and don’t have plans to deal the forward. Charania reported that Bertans is expected to get a lucrative multiyear extension this offseason as well.

Bertans has been sidelined the past five games due to a quad injury. He should be back in the lineup for the Wizards soon and get back to draining 3-pointers. Bertans is having a breakout season in Washington, averaging 15.4 points per game and making nearly 4.0 long-range shots per game. In a league in which bigs who can stretch the floor are rare and coveted, Bertans could carve out a nice home with the Wizards should they decide to keep him past the deadline.
