The Kansas City Chiefs have had a couple banged up starters throughout the postseaon, but they appear to be in great shape heading into Sunday’s Super bowl matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Multiple players have shedded their questionable designations and appear poised to play in full on Sunday.
Travis Kelce, who has been dealing with a lingering knee bruise for weeks, was a full participant in practice Wednesday. He participated in two of his team’s three practices last week but was limited in both. He burned the Houston Texans by notching 10 receptions for 134 yards and three scores in the Divisional round and should continue to be a threat at full strength.
Other notable Chiefs to receive a clean bill of health include defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf), and center Austin Reiter. A few of San Francisco’s key players on the defensive side of the ball are limited ahead of Super Bowl 54, and they could be at a disadvantage against such a sturdy Kansas City offense.
