UPDATE: Jan. 29, 5:36 p.m. — Gasol is listed as out for Thursday’s game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Gasol out, we should see Serge Ibaka slide into the starting lineup, and he’s going to be a trendy cash-game play on DraftKings.
Toronto Raptors C Marc Gasol re-injured his hamstring in Tuesday’s game vs. the Atlanta Hawks and was unable to return.

Gasol was ruled out in the second half after playing 16 minutes, scoring four points with five rebounds and two assists with three blocks and a steal. At $4,900 on DraftKings, I had Gasol as a decent value option tonight and it was shaking out to be a pretty good night before the injury. Gasol finished with 17.75 fantasy points, which likely didn’t kill you, but didn’t get the job done.
Fantasy basketball analysis: Toronto Raptors C Marc Gasol
With Gasol out the rest of the game, Serge Ibaka should see more minutes down the stretch. If Gasol is going to miss time again (which is likely given his history of injury), Ibaka should start at center and is a going to be a good DFS option on future slates in which Gasol sits. We could also see Chris Boucher get some front court minutes tonight with the Raps up big in the third quarter.
