The Milwaukee Bucks ruled out Giannis Antetokounmpo for Tuesday night’s game vs. the Washington Wizards due to shoulder soreness. The news has since sparked a rapid movement of the lines on DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at the current lines (note, these will move up and down quickly throughout the time leading up to tip).
Bucks vs. Wizards point spread, money line, over/under
Point Spread: Opened at -16 — Down to -11.5
Moneyline: Currently — Bucks (-590), Wizards (+440)
Over/Under: Opened at 240 — Up to 241.5
So the spread actually plummeted down to -11 and has since moved up a half point in favor of the Bucks — Thus why I made a note above about the rapid movement. At this current standing, I think I’d still lean with the Bucks, but if you were able to get the line down toward -11 or -10, then the Wizards become a decent play. Washington is a poor defensive team, but they can score with anyone in the NBA. The Bucks without Giannis are still strong on both ends, but obviously taking away the leader in the MVP race will have a huge impact. I still think the Bucks can pull out a win with relative ease, but can they cover this wide a spread? I don’t think it’s as likely. Give me the Wizards getting the points with Giannis out.
