Top NBA DFS value plays on DraftKings, Jan. 28

If the spread is any indication, the Bucks-Wizards game could be over pretty quickly. The Bucks are favored by 16 points on DraftKings Sportsbook tonight, so we could see Milwaukee run away with one at home against a weak Washington team. If that’s the case, I like the value that could open up as a result. There are plenty of Bucks role players priced below $5K on DraftKings that make for solid value picks. Let’s take a look at a few, plus some other bargain options to help you fit in some studs tonight.

Donte DiVincenzo, PG/SG, MIL vs. WAS ($4,300)

If you read the intro, this pick shouldn’t surprise you much. DiVincenzo is the Bucks’ primary guard off the bench and can play a few positions, which is helpful. If we use a couple filters (per 36 minute, past nine games), we see DiVincenzo is averaging 17.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting close to 50% from the field. It’s clear DiVincenzo is either a player worthy of starting or he just fits into Milwaukee’s scheme so well. Either way, at this price, in a potential blowout we could see DiVincenzo play around 25-28 minutes. If that’s the case, value should be easy to hit.

Brook Lopez, C, MIL vs. WAS ($4,800)

Considering the type of defense and the lack of depth the Wizards have down low, Lopez is in a very favorable spot. He’s another Bucks role player priced down for the best matchup in fantasy basketball. This season, Washington ranks 27th in points allowed in the paint (52.3 per game). The Wizards are last in defensive rating (116.1) and 27th in defensive rebounding percentage (70.9). Oh and 27th in 2nd chance points (14.4). Okay! So as you can see, Lopez, yeah, pretty, pretty good spot here. He isn’t getting many rebounds (mostly because of Giannis Antetokounmpo), but Lopez does take a lot of 3-pointers. Over the past four games, Lopez is averaging 27.4 minutes and 6.0 3-point attempts per game.

Delon Wright, PG/SG, DAL vs. PHX ($4,100)

Wright gives me a bit of pause, but the past three games make it hard to deny playing him. In that stretch, Wright is averaging 11.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists over 28.7 minutes per game. He’s shooting 56% from the field and 42.9% from distance. I know it’s a small sample size, but those are some eye-popping numbers for a backup guard. This matchup is ideal with the pace pushed way up against the Suns. We could see more Wright to alleviate stress on some of the starters on the second of a back-to-back. His ownership may be a bit high, but it’s hard to ignore those type of splits.

Marc Gasol, C, TOR vs. ATL ($4,900)

Gasol has looked very strong since returning from a hamstring injury back on Jan. 15. Over that stretch, he’s averaging 12 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.4 3PM per game. His shooting splits are dumb — 58.5% from the field and 50% from 3-point range. Gasol is also averaging 27.9 minutes per game since returning, and reached a nice peak last game with 36. This is an above-average matchup and Gasol’s price has gone down $800 since the Raptors played the Hawks last week.
