The Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets square off in New York on Thursday night on the three-game slate. The Lakers entered the day as -5.5 point favorites coming off a win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night. They could be without Anthony Davis, who is questionable to play. Our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook sent us over some of the handle and betting split percentages so far for the game:

How to bet on Lakers vs. Nets tonight

The AD news is key here. If Davis sits out, the Nets obviously have an easier time covering the spread at home against a team playing on the second night of a back-to-back. However, the way Brooklyn is playing, my feeling is LeBron James is enough to get the Lakers past Kyrie Irving and the Nets by more than 5.5 points. When James scores 30+ points, the Lakers are 12-0 this season. That could very well be the case, and if the Lakers are going to win, their odds of winning by at least 6 points seem decent. That’s reflected by the handle and bets percentages in favor of L.A.

As for the Over/Under and moneyline, well, again, the public believes the Lakers will win pretty handily tonight. I may only lean the UNDER here if AD sits and is limited in playing time. If not, I like the OVER actually. The Nets defense is much worse with Kyrie Irving on the court. They’ve allowed at least 117 points in each of their past four losses. With Irving back, Brooklyn’s offense should run a bit better and at a quicker pace as well.
