The Farmers Insurance Open tees off at 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 22nd, and it marks the first significant tournament of the PGA Tour season. Most of the big names will be on hand in their first tournament play of the 2020. The Players Championship has been bumped up to mid-March, a month ahead of the Masters, and so golfers are getting back on track in January.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy lead the field, and it should surprise nobody that Tiger is the most popular player at DraftKings Sportsbook heading into this weekend. He has the third best odds at +1100, and he is currently getting a whopping 21 percent of the betting handle. Woods tees off at 12:40 p.m. and will be in a trio that includes Collin Morikawa and Jon Rahm. It’s worth noting Rahm has the second best odds to win the tournament at +775.
The second best handle total belongs to McIlroy, who is the tournament favorite at +660. McIlroy is teeing off at 1:30 p.m. We don’t have any super longer shots getting big money, but Jason Day at +4500 and Jordan Spieth at +5500 are in the top ten for percent handle.
