Our Super Bowl 54 matchup is officially set! The Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers on February 2nd at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The game is scheduled to kick off at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET and will on FOX.
The Chiefs fell behind early to the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game, trailing 10-0 in the first quarter and 17-7 in the second quarter. Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry were making plays, and it looked like Tennessee might spring a third straight upset. Instead, Patrick Mahomes got in gear and things flipped on a dime. Mahomes finished the game with 294 yards and three passing touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards and a score in a 35-24 win.
The 49ers had some late game struggles, but more or less cruised to victory in the NFC Championship Game. They jumped on top of the Green Bay Packers 27-0 at halftime and while Aaron Rodgers attempted to bring his team back, it was too much to overcome. Raheem Mostert rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns
The Chiefs opened as a 1.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total set at 53. The Chiefs are 13-5 against the spread and have gone over the point total ten times. The 49ers are 11-6-1 against the spread and have gone over the point total nine times.
