Who will lead between Patrick Mahomes & Ryan Tannehill in passing yards

Patrick Mahomes should be a lock to throw for more yards than Ryan Tannehill in the AFC title game. We break down the prop bet option.

Draftkings Sportsbook will have several prop bets available for this weekend’s AFC and NFC title games. The Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers have players in the prop bet pool. We broke down which player you should bet on recording the most passing yards between Patrick Mahomes and Ryan Tannehill.

Most receiving yards: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (-360) or Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (+250)

Mahomes had one of the best performances of his young career in the Divisional Round. The third-year signal caller overcame a 24-0 deficit by throwing for 321 yards and five touchdowns to beat the Houston Texans. It was the fifth time he’s thrown for more than 300 yards this season. Tennessee gave up 574 passing yards through the first two rounds of the playoffs, and Mahomes torched them for a season high 446 yards in Week 10. The Titans can be competitive against Kansas City, but they’d have to improve drastically on the defensive end to slow down Mahomes.

The Titans have taken their emphasis on the run to another level in the postseason, and Ryan Tannehill’s numbers are proof of that. Tannehill has yet to record even 90 passing yards in a game and has a total of 160 through two appearances. He enters the weekend having attempted 29 playoff passes this year. However, the 31-year-old does have breakout potential. He threw for a season high 391 yards against the Oakland Raiders this year and notched 181 against the Chiefs in Week 10. But it’s not likely that Tennessee will change up its strategy now.

Betting Recommendation:

There’s almost no chance Tannehill will outdo Mahomes. Bet on Mahomes and the Chiefs.
