NBA DFS Picks: Top targets at each position on DraftKings, Jan. 18

Here we’ll go over the top fantasy basketball and DFS targets on DraftKings for Saturday night’s 11-game main slate. We’ll consider players at each position, including some other options to help you craft your lineups. Here’s who we think are sure-fire DFS hits.

Point Guard

Ben Simmons, PHI vs. NYK, $9,000 — Simmons has recorded a double-double in four straight contests and has scored at least 20 points in three of those games. Joel Embiid’s recovery from a finger injury has forced Simmons to be more aggressive on the offensive end, and that trend should continue while the team’s leading scorer is out. Simmons’ rebounding and assist numbers can be counted on every night, but the boost in scoring puts him over the top.

Shooting Guard

James Harden, HOU vs. LAL, $11,200 — Harden had an off night in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers in his last contest. He only scored 13 points, and we know from experience that something like that probably wont happen in back-to-back games. Harden has routinely followed up poor showings with big performances all year. “The Beard” has only scored fewer than 20 points three times this season, and he’a scored at least 29 following each of his previous two blunders.

Other Options: Derrick Rose, DET vs. ATL, $6,900; Devin Booker, PHX vs. BOS, $8,400

Small Forward

Danilo Gallinari, OKC vs. POR, $6,600 — Gallinari has scored at least 23 points in three straight contests and his outside shooting stroke matches up well against the Portland Trail Blazers. Kent Bazemore and Carmelo Anthony don’t seem like ideal matches for Gallinari’s 6’10” frame.

Power Forward

John Collins, ATL vs. DET, $8,200 — Collins has been a double-double machine since returning from the 25-game suspension that started off his 2019 season. He’s tallied double-doubles in three of his last four games while totaling at least 42.5 DKFP in each of those performances. He’ll likely line up with Pistons rookie Sekou Doumbouya on the block, which could lead to him lighting in up in that individual battle.

Other Options: Pascal Siakam, TOR vs. MIN, $8,000; Kevin Love, CLE at CHI, $7,800

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. TOR, $9,900 — KAT returned from a 15-game abscence Friday and got right back to business, He had been dealing with a knee injury and an illness and began missing games in mid-December. He bounced back by scoring 27 points in 28 minutes against the Indiana Pacers in his 2020 debut. He’s the focal point of Minnesota’s offense and should be back to putting up the bigger numbers soon.
