Opening point spreads for January 17th NBA schedule

The Timberwolves keep listing Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable due to a knee injury, but he never plays. Will he return this time around? Honestly, I’m not sure, but let’s bank on him remaining out for now.

Kristaps Porzingis is the other big name down low to look out for on the slate. The Mavericks had Porzingis ready to return on Wednesday, but he was a late scratch. We need to be careful with his status if we’re considering betting on Mavs-Blazers. If he can come back, that’ll make things tougher on Portland given the lack of size in the Blazers frontcourt.
