The AFC and NFC Championship Games are a little over 72 hours away, and we have some interesting splits in the betting numbers for both games. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans to open Sunday afternoon, and the San Francisco 49ers will host the Green Bay Packers in the evening game. DraftKings Sportsbook has released a look at handle and bet splits for the point spread, point total, and money line options.

Titans @ Chiefs

The Chiefs are a 7.5-point favorites, and the line is holding firm even as a sizable majority is backing Kansas City. 73 percent of the handle and 62 percent of bets are on the Chiefs to cover the spread. For the money line, 55 percent of the handle is on the Chiefs (-345), but 58 percent of the total bets are on the Titans (+290). Given the number you can get on the money line, it’s not surprising to see people hoping to cash in on another Titans upset. This seems like a game where either the Titans win outright or they get blown out.

Speaking of which, 77 percent of the handle and 73 percent of tickets bet on the point total (52.5) are on it going over. It’s hard to see the Titans slowing the Chiefs offense in this game, so if Tennessee is going to have a crack at pulling the upset, this could turn into a shootout.

Packers @ 49ers

The 49ers opened as a touchdown favorite, but on Tuesday the line moved to 7.5 The betting public is backing the 49ers on the point spread, with 68 percent of the handle and 54 percent of tickets bet on San Francisco. Like Chiefs-Titans, where it gets interesting is in the money line wagering. 72 percent of the handle is on the 49ers (-345), but 62 percent of the bets are on the Packers (+290). That’s a much bigger split than what we are seeing in Chiefs-Titans.

The betting public seems comfortable with at least a modest shootout in this one as well. The point total has remained at 45, but 60 percent of the handle and 78 percent of tickets bet are on the over.
