The XFL kicks off in a few weeks following Super Bowl 54, and at least one big name retired NFL player is looking to get in on the action. Former wide receiver Chad Johnson has been offered a tryout as a kicker in Houston. The teams are in training camp down there, so he could be trying out for one of several teams.
The opportunity to kick in the XFL has presented itself, i must tryout Monday in Houston, I’m excited as hell & I’m sure all will go well

ESPN confirmed the news earlier today. They also pointed out this video of Johnson successfully kicking an allegedly 60-yard field goal.
The XFL will not have extra points, but field goals will still provide an opportunity for kickers to impact the game. There will be XFL fantasy coming up at some point, so you can still potentially work kickers into your rosters!
