LSU Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow had a strong first half in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, but there is some concern about an injury. ESPN’s Holly Rowe is reporting Burrow came off the field gasping for air after his last touchdown and was wondering if he had broken a rib, per Mike Berardino.
It would appear the injury came on touchdown throw itself. It looks like he takes a tough hit as he throws the ball. Burrow was seen telling his teammates to not touch him. He later came out and road the exercise bike for a few minutes and then was making some practices throws. He appears fine for the second half, but it will be worth watching as he takes hits in the second half. Burrow finished the first half with 270 passing yards and three touchdowns, to go along with 55 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
