The Conference Championship games are set and we are one round away from Super Bowl 54. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers will host the Green Bay Packers this coming Sunday.
DraftKings Sportsbook released opening point spreads Sunday evening for both games. Neither line has shown much movement, but there are some interesting numbers to consider in assessing each matchup this early in the week.
Titans @ Chiefs
The most significant movement in the AFC odds is the point total. It opened at 51 and has been bet up to 51.5 a day later. The Titans rely heavily on running back Derrick Henry, but they’ve shown an ability to effectively run a hurry-up offense with their running back. In the Wild Card round, they moved 75 yards in 1:41 on four Henry rushes and one Henry reception. The Chiefs run defense has improved, but there’s a good chance this game turns into a shootout even with the disparity in passing attacks.
Packers @ 49ers
We have yet to see movement on this one. Both teams are in relatively good shape health-wise. They each have some questions that will be answered with the practice participation reports, but neither has a glaring issue for the time being. Any movement likely will come from sharp bettors making their move at some point. It’s unlikely to drop below a touchdown, but will it go up to 7.5 by the end of the week?
