The Tennessee Titans stunned the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional round of the 2020 NFL Playoffs, and that now leaves us with a new favorite to win Super Bowl 54. The Ravens were favorites dating back to Week 14, but now the Kansas City Chiefs are your new Super Bowl favorites heading into Conference Championship weekend.
The Chiefs came back from a 24-0 deficit to thump the Texans 51-31 and are now listed as +135 favorites. Prior to the Divisional round, they were third (+350) on the list of Super Bowl odds behind the Ravens (+200) and the 49ers (+325). They had remained behind the 49ers simply because of the fact that they were expected to have to go through Baltimore to get to the Super Bowl. Once the Ravens were eliminated, that changed the script.
There’s a sizable difference between the home teams and road teams in the AFC and NFC Championship games. The Chiefs (+135) and 49ers (+160) sit at one level, while the Packers (+650) and Titans (+700) are a huge step back. The first two weeks have shown us the kind of insanity that can happen in January, but for the time being, Chiefs-49ers is viewed as the likely Super Bowl outcome.
