The Seattle Seahawks will play in their second road game of the postseason Sunday as they face off against Green Bay Packers. They’ll hope to get some valuable contributions from their running backs after injuries ended the seasons of not one or two, but three options.
Seattle doesn’t have definitive feature back but is splitting a modest workload between Marshawn Lynch and Travis Homer. Both could potentially have big games, but it’s difficult to tell who is more likely to explode in the Divisional Round.
Fantasy football analysis: Seahawks RBs Marshawn Lynch and Travis Homer
Lynch came out of retirement to join his old team and has only played in two games this year. However, he only has 11 fewer carries than Homer, who been with Seattle for 16 games in 2019. Homer has more yardage, but Lynch has two touchdowns, which could prove to be more valuable. Lynch still has the brute strength that makes him a threat to run through opposing defenses in goal line situations. Homer’s 6.3 yards per carry average is encouraging, but whether he gets enough volume will determine his ceiling.
Start/Sit Recommendation
Both Lynch and Homer are worth a start, but Lynch is our preference because of his nose for the end zone.
