Bradley Beal will play Wednesday vs. Bulls [UPDATE]

Beal had missed seven games due to knee soreness, but is now dealing with a shoulder injury for Washington.

UPDATE: Jan. 15, 7:18 p.m. — Beal will play vs. the Bulls.

UPDATE: Jan. 15, 6:32 p.m. — Beal is a game-time decision vs. the Bulls, per coach Scott Brooks.

UPDATE: Jan. 15, 4:31 p.m. — Beal is being listed as questionable again for Wednesday’s game vs. the Chicago Bulls, but this time it’s because of a shoulder injury.

Beal was back in the lineup on Sunday, but is back on the injury report in incredibly fast fashion. If Beal is out, we should see Jordan McRae get back into the starting lineup. McRae and Troy Brown Jr. would be in line for more minutes at SG, while Davis Bertans, Thomas Bryant and Ish Smith will take on more of offense in Beal’s absence.

UPDATE: Jan. 12, 1:41 p.m. — Bryant will return to the lineup after missing six weeks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Sunday morning. Beal will also be back in the lineup. He will also be on a minutes limit.

Bryant will be on a minutes limit in his return to the lineup.

Washington Wizards SG Bradley Beal and PF/C Thomas Bryant are both questionable to play in Sunday’s game vs. the Utah Jazz.

Beal has been dealing with a leg injury and missed his fifth straight game Friday night vs. the Atlanta Hawks. Bryant injured his foot and has been sidelined since Dec. 1 as a result. A full practice for him is encouraging and he could be back to add a nice boost to a frontcourt that has been ravaged by injuries.

If Beal comes back, Jordan McRae likely goes back to the bench and sees less usage. He’d still have some handcuff value in season-long, but in DFS it’s hard to play him until his price drops back down. Troy Brown Jr. would also see less minutes off the bench. As for the froncourt, it’s a tough one to make out. Davis Bertans isn’t starting yet, but could be in there soon. The frontcourt ideally is Bryant and Bertans when fully healthy but that may not be the case right away. Ian Mahinmi should see minutes even with Bryant back — I imagine Bryant will have a limit Sunday if he returns.
