Here we’ll go over the top fantasy basketball and DFS targets on DraftKings for Saturday seven-game slate. We’ll consider players at each position, including some other options to help you craft your lineups. Here’s who we think are sure-fire DFS hits.
Point Guard
Ben Simmons, PHI vs. DAL, $8,500 — Simmons has tallied at least a double-double in seven of his last 10 games and should benefit from Joel Embiid being out of the picture with a his finger injury. He’s one of the NBA’s best playmakers and will likely get an uptick in rebounding and be asked to score more while without the 76ers’ best score, rebounder, and rim protector. He hasn’t dipped below 35 DKFP in 13 games, and that’s the kind of consistency you should need.
Other Options: LeBron James, LAL vs. OKC, $10,000; Chris Paul, LAL vs. OKC, $6,800
Shooting Guard
Khris Middleton, MIL vs. POR, $7,500 — Middleton remains one of the best 3-and-D players in the league and matches up well against the Trail Blazers. As a 6-8 wing, he might be hard for players like Portland’s CJ McCollum and Kent Bazemore to stick with on the defensive end. At the same time, he should be able to use his length as an advantage for steals, blocks, and rebounding against smaller players. He’s eclipsed 40 DKFP in six of his last 10 games.
Other Options: Zach LaVine, CHI vs. DET, $8,300; Derrick Rose, CHI vs. DET, $7,300
Small Forward
Luka Doncic, DAL vs. PHI, $12,400 — Although Doncic is a pricey choice, he rarely disappoints. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500) averages more DKFP per contest in Saturday’s NBA lineup, but Doncic’s playmaking abilities give him a slight edge over the “Greek Freak.” Antetokounmpo is also coming off a back injury, so health is a factor here as well.
Other Options: Jason Tatum, NO vs. BOS, $8,000; Tobias Harris, PHI vs. DAL, $7,300
Power Forward
Brandon Ingram, NOP vs. BOS, $8,400 — Over the course of the last three games, Ingram is averaging more than 30 points on nearly 39 minutes per night. Injuries to Derrick Favors and Kenrich Williams could extend the lifespan of Williams’ increasing workload. Going toe-to-toe with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown could very well bring out his best.
Other Options: Kevin Love, CLE vs. DEN, $7,200; Al Horford, PHI at DAL, $6,800
Center
Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. CLE, $9,700 — There are quite a few big men battling injuries entering Saturday. Among them are Anthony Davis, Hassan Whiteside, and Kristaps Porzingis. But Jokic is well and has attempted at least 20 shots in each of his last two contests. He converted those shots into 80 points, and his aggression in the offensive end paired with his passing makes him more threatening than the rest of the centers available.
Other Options: Lauri Markkanen, CHI vs. DET, $8,100; Steven Adams, DAL vs. GS, $6,400
