Who to play of A.J. Brown vs. Marquise Brown in Divisional Round DFS

We break down why Marquise Brown is a better option than A.J. Brown for this weekend’s Divisional Round DFS contests.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown share a last name, but should have different stat lines come Saturday when their teams face off in the Divisional Round. Both players the top wide receivers of run-powered offenses. Their playmaking abilities could make all the difference in the final result, so we broke down which pass catcher has an edge.

The Titans’ first-year star put together a 1,000-yard season after peaking late and eclipsing 100 receiving yards in three of his last four regular season games. But he has not a factor in the Wild Card round. The Ravens’ speedster started off his rookie year strong. He racked up 50.3 DKFP in his first two NFL games and has shown some impressive flashes that indicate he could be a true WR1 down the road.

Fantasy football analysis: Titans WR A.J. Brown, Ravens WR Marquise Brown

The Titans are facing one of the NFL’s most well-rounded defenses and will likely depend on Derrick Henry to carry most of their offensive workload. The one-target performance A.J. Brown had against the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round is discouraging, but it’s unlikely he’ll receive so little attention in back to back weeks.

Marquise Brown has target and reception totals comparable to A.J.’s this year. However he has nearly half as many receiving yards. Running back Mark Ingram and tight end Mark Andrews have both been limited in practice this week though, which could make a Lamar Jackson-Brown duo Baltimore’s best offensive weapon.

Start/Sit Recommendation

Marquise should get the starting nod in both classic and Showdown formats. The Titans middling defense didn’t face top-end speed like his when the played the Patriots.
