Adam Thielen ‘should’ play vs. 49ers

Vikings wide receiver will play with stitches in ankle

Adam Thielen had his ankle cleated in practice early this week and hasn’t been able to practice since. He has to get stitches and the team plans on keeping him off of his feet until game-time according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Thielen will play according to Rapoport but there is a chance the stitches don’t hold. It is a situation that fantasy and DFS players should be cognizant of, as Thielen won’t have many live practice reps going into this game and there is a chance he misses time. That does likely boost Stefon Diggs’ chances for a few more targets along with Kyle Rudolph, Irv Smith Jr. and Bisi Johnson. Unfortunately, there is no way to know for sure how things will shake out.

Kirk Cousins would get knocked down a bit if Thielen isn’t 100 percent and he already has a tough matchup in San Francisco. The coaching staff will likely do their best to get Dalvin Cook going again, so they won’t need to rely on Thielen if they can get away with it.
