The NFL Divisional Round opens play on Saturday with the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Tennessee Titans. The 49ers are touchdown favorite, while the Ravens are a 9.5-point favorite. Neither line has seen much movement, although the Ravens have come down a half point of 10.
DraftKings Sportsbook released information on Friday covering the latest betting splits for both matchups. The favorites are getting the early love, although it is not quite overwhelming in one instance. The point total betting difference leans toward the under for both, but it’s also a fairly narrow margin.
Vikings @ 49ers
The 49ers are getting 57 percent of the point spread handle, but 54 percent of bets placed are on the Vikings. Meanwhile, 63 percent of the handle and 61 percent of bets on the money line are backing the 49ers. The Vikings are headed into a Saturday game coming off a Sunday Wild Card win. 25 teams over the past 35 years in that situation are 16-9 against the spread and 7-18 straight up. The point total (44) split has 51 percent of handle and 53 percent of bets on the under.
Titans @ Ravens
The public feels pretty strongly about the Ravens in this one. 61 percent of the point spread handle and 77 percent of the money line handle are backing the Ravens. The point total is where the uncertainty lives. 52 percent of bets are on the under, but it’s effectively an even split of the handle. These are two teams that control the clock with their ground games, although both have shown ability to make explosive plays. The uncertainty makes sense.
