Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Giants-Cowboys in Week 1

The Giants have had an interesting off-season to say the least. They jettisoned their best player in Odell Beckham, in return for what amounted to be a starting safety and a two-down run-stopper on the defensive line. Meanwhile, a QB battle may be brewing as “Danny Dimes” Daniel Jones, a much maligned top 10 pick, completed 85 percent of his pre-season passes for 12.2 yards per attempt, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. However, the Giants are expected to roll out what is left of Eli Manning for Week 1, and the team will be down a key weapon with Golden Tate suspended for the first four weeks. Dallas was top five in Football Outsiders rush defense DVOA last season, so this should be an entertaining matchup between them and phenom RB Saquon Barkley.

Dallas is having their own issues as well. They just got Ezekiel Elliott back from a long holdout, which resulted in him signing a new six-year, $90 million extension. It is unclear if he will see a featured role right away after such a prolonged absence, but Dallas also has rookie Tony Pollard, who averaged 5.6 yards per carry in the preseason, and looked impressive in the passing game. The bigger issue may be Amari Cooper’s strained heel, which has kept him out of the pre-season. He is a major catalyst for the Cowboy offense, as the team scored about four more points per game and 0.22 points per drive in the second half of 2018, with Cooper in the fold. He and QB Dak Prescott are looking for contracts of their own, as they both will become free-agents after this season.
