What to do with Curtis Samuel in Week 4 fantasy football

Curtis Samuel is setting up to be a strong play, but can he score over 20 fantasy points this week? We look at whether you should play or bench the WR in Week 4 vs. the Texans.

Curtis Samuel has five catches in consecutive games, and the training camp MVP is looking to break out this week against the Texans. Even though Houston ranks 18th in pass DVOA, this defensive unit has given up big games to WRs in every single week. Kyle Allen looks to have a true connection with Samuel, and the Panthers look competent with the UDFA at the helm. Samuel has increased his fantasy output in three straight weeks, meaning he really has a chance to break the slate this week.

Fantasy Impact: Samuel’s salary on DraftKings sits at $4,500, and he’s clustered around a handful of other solid value WR plays. Terry McLaurin ($4,500) is dealing with a hamstring issue, but he is also the top option in this salary range facing off against the Giants. Will Fuller ($4,500) has not produced much, but all it takes is one big play for Fuller to exceed salary-based expectations. Samuel is still a better option than Fuller, but McLaurin’s upside is higher if he ends up playing through injury. D.K. Metcalf is another intriguing name if you are able to spend a little more, but he’s definitely not a cash-game option against the Cardinals.
