How to handle Emmanuel Sanders injury in Week 4 fantasy football

Sanders appears to be good to go this week, but can he produce fantasy points against the Jags defense?

There is apparently nothing holding back Emmanuel Sanders this week. Despite showing up on the injury report with a quad injury on Thursday, he was a full-go at practice on Friday. There is no question that the Denver Broncos will have him on the field this week when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite his advanced age (32) and the Broncos’ decision to make Joe Flacco their starting quarterback, Sanders has been productive this season. Through three games, he has accumulated 194 yards and two touchdowns. But he had a rough outing last week against the Packers, catching just two balls for 10 yards.

Sanders had a hard time getting space against the Green Bay defensive backs. That could be a concern again this week if he has to face Jalen Ramsey. We still don’t know if the disgruntled Jags cornerback will play though.

Fantasy impact: Older players like Sanders will show up on the injury report a lot during the season — the game takes a toll and it’s a good way to get them a day off. Either way, this might be a good week to avoid him against a defense that can depress receiver numbers.
