How to handle Greg Olsen injury in Week 4 fantasy football

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is having a resurgent 2019. He’ll likely be a regular on the injury report, but don’t fear starting him in fantasy football.

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is having a resurgent 2019 season after injuries limited him the past two years. However, bumps and bruises come with the veteran presence. Olsen has been dealing with a back injury the pas two weeks, and is getting some rest time at practice. He was listed as limited on Wednesday and Thursday before putting in a full workout on Friday. He was dropped from the final injury report and looks good to go.

Olsen is coming off his best game of the year in Week 3. He caught six passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. He’s had at least seven targets in each of the first three games.

Fantasy impact: Olsen has a tough matchup in Week 4, facing a Houston Texans defense that has given up the sixth fewest points to tight ends. That being said, with Kyle Allen making a second straight start in place of Cam Newton, look for the youngster to continue targeting Olsen. After entering the season with questions, Olsen is quickly approaching must-start status. If he puts together a quality performance against Houston, he will move firmly into that status as long as he is healthy.
