How to handle Jimmy Graham in Week 4 fantasy football

Packers tight end Jimmy Graham has been shut out the past two weeks. He has shown up on the injury report for Week 4, so it’s time to break down the fantasy football implications.

The Green Bay Packers face an up-and-down Philadelphia Eagles squad in Week 4, and they’ll be hoping to get some more production out of Jimmy Graham than they have of late. Graham was designated as a DNP at Monday’s simulated practice due to groin and quadricep injuries, and was limited for Tuesday and Wednesday’s real practices. He is not listed on the final injury report, but is clearly banged up.

Graham caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, but has been shut out each of the past two weeks. He’s now splitting tight end snaps with Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan as it seems like he might be on the outs at this point in his career.

Fantasy impact: Aaron Rodgers said this week that he would like to get Graham more involved in the offense. Whether anything comes of that is unclear. The Eagles have been strong against the run, but shaky against the pass. The Packers offense has struggled to get going with any kind of consistency. It seems more likely that Davante Adams or Marquez Valdes-Scatling is the big playmaker in this game. For the time being, Graham is not worth starting unless you’re incredibly shorthanded at the tight end position.
