Top 25 TE standard options for Week 4 fantasy football

Under the radar names are emerging at the tight end position while we look for some consistency. We break down the implications in our Week 4 fantasy football tight end rankings.

Week 3 saw a couple of new faces have incredible games. Leading the pack was Darren Waller who gained 134 yards on 13 receptions. He’s currently the second highest scoring tight end on the season without finding the end zone. 2nd year player, Jordan Akins caught two touchdowns as did veterans Greg Olsen and Austin Hooper. Zach Ertz, George Kittle and O.J. Howard all had decent yardage days, but neither has a touchdown through the first three weeks.

There are two teams on bye, but only one tight end of note will be unavailable. George Kittle has an early bye week. Hopefully, we’ll see him get into the end zone week 5. In injury news, David Njoku was placed on IR and will miss at least the next 7 weeks. Vance McDonald was injured early playing against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. Monitor his practice reports as he’ll be a risky Monday Night play. Jordan Reed missed his Week 3 game and sadly it is looking like concussions may have finally cost him his NFL career.

Heading into the fourth week, we are still trying to pinpoint all the reliable options at tight end. I like Delanie Walker’s Week 4 matchup. The Atlanta Falcons just lost their safety, Keanu Neal, and Walker has been consistently involved in the Titans offense thus far. The Will Dissley experience arrives in Arizona on Sunday. The Cardinals have given up the most points to tight ends this season and Dissley’s targets have increased each week.

Week 4 brings with it the first byes of 2019. The San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets are sidelined, which means George Kittle is sidelined.
