The Philadelphia Eagles return to practice on Tuesday in preparation for Thursday Night Football, and they are hoping to get back some key weapons. Head coach Doug Pederson told the media on Tuesday that the hope was for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and tight end Dallas Goedert to return to practice, and receiver DeSean Jackson to remain sidelined.
Jackson is dealing with an abdominal injury that cost him Week 3. Pederson said that Jackson was “probably a little further away” and it likely would not happen this week against the Green Bay Packers. Jeffery and Goedert are both dealing with calf injuries that cost them Week 3.
Fantasy impact: Nelson Agholor was the big beneficiary of the absences in Week 3. He led the team with 12 targets, and finished with eight receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside was targeted three times and secured one reception for ten yards.
If Jeffery is able to return, that will likely cut into the targets of Agholor and Arcega-Whiteside. Agholor is likely to still be a viable fantasy option, but expectations should be lowered.
