The Cleveland Browns travel to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 on Sunday Night Football, and will be without tight end David Njoku. He suffered a concussion and a broken wrist in Week 2. He sat out all three days of practice and the team placed him on injured reserve on Friday, and hopes to get him back after the eight week minimum period.
Fantasy impact: Demetrius Harris and Ricky Seals-Jones will split Njoku’s workload at tight end. Njoku had been slow out of the gate, ranking fourth in targets behind Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Nick Chubb. Harris and Seals-Jones are not worth rostering for the time being, and odds are decent the Browns’ tight end position will not provide any real fantasy value until Njoku gets back.
Baker Mayfield loses a weapon, but again, he was not targeting Njoku extensively in the passing game. The injury opens up some potential red zone opportunities for OBJ, Landry, and Chubb.
