The New York Jets released their final injury report for their Week 2 Monday Night Football contest against the Cleveland Browns, and running back Le’Veon Bell is listed as questionable. He sat out practice on Thursday due to a shoulder injury, and was listed as limited for Friday and Saturday.
Bell underwent an MRI on Thursday due to the shoulder issue. The MRI showed no structural damage or tears and he returned to practice the rest of the weekend. The issue was unexpected news following a solid debut for the team. In Week 1, he rushed 17 times for 60 yards and caught six passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy impact: Bell will play on Monday, and even if he’s limited, he’ll be a must-start. The Jets will be without quarterback Sam Darnold, who is suffering from mono. Seeing Trevor Siemian out there could make for more eight-man boxes, but the Browns are ripe for the picking for the time being. Derrick Henry averaged 4.4 yards per carry, and busted loose for a 75-yard catch and run. If Bell had not been able to play, Ty Montgomery would be the start, but with Bell set to play, it’s Bell or nothing.
