How to handle Randall Cobb, Amari Cooper injury in Week 2 fantasy football

Despite some injury concerns earlier this week, the Dallas Cowboys will have both Amari Cooper and Randall Cobb in the lineup for an NFC East showdown with the Redskins in Week 2.

For the first time in a long time, this offense is creative and fun to watch, something we haven’t been able to say with confidence for years. New offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has been the toast of the league this week, especially for fantasy owners who might finally be able to count on some consistency from Dallas’ skill position players.

Cooper had 106 yards and a touchdown in the team’s opening week steamroll over the Giants. Cobb, who the Cowboys signed to a one-year deal in free agency last spring, had a very nice 69 yards and a touchdown himself.

Cooper had big games with the Cowboys last year too, but those were usually followed by a flatline performance. The hope is that with Moore calling the plays, the Cowboys won’t get stuck in the same dull rut they did when Scott Linehan had the clipboard.

Fantasy Impact: Washington’s defense was no match for the Eagles last week, and it shouldn’t be much more than a nuisance for Dallas this week. Cornerback Josh Norman, who poo-pooed the Cowboys’ Week 1 effort ahead of this game, should spend most of his time with Cooper. Of course, Cooper had a 180-yard, two-touchdown game against Washington last season. Cobb might be a bit of a sleeper as a slot receiver.
