Start or sit Thomas Davis in Week 2 IDP leagues?

The Los Angeles Chargers should depend on a veteran to lead their defense in Week 2. We break down Thomas Davis and IDP leagues.

Thomas Davis traded in his Carolina blue for the Charger blue and the transition has been quite the success; he turned back the clock to his All-Pro season(s) collecting 14 combined tackles (seven solo tackles) while playing on 100% of the defensive snaps last week.

Denzel Perryman is still nursing an injury and could eventually have a role in the linebacker rotation when he gets healthier, but Davis’ play was impressive enough to get the starting gig against arguably one of the most run-heavy teams, the Detroit Lions. Darrell Bevell has routinely been one of the most-run heavy offensive coordinators, ranking inside the top-five in rush attempts six times in his 13 years as an offensive signal-caller.

Davis should be a LB2 this week against the Lions where Cardinals’ inside linebacker, Jordan Hicks, was able to rack up 14 combined total tackles last week. Davis has a real chance to eclipse double-digit tackles again this Sunday.
