Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Jaguars vs. Texans in Week 2

Both Houston and Jacksonville are coming off of disappointing Week 1 performances, but for different reasons. The Texans lost a high-scoring thriller against the Saints, a contest in which they went into halftime with a 14-3 lead. Their offense looked very explosive, although they did still allow six sacks of star quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Jags, meanwhile, got blown out by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Along the way, they lost starting QB Nick Foles to a broken collarbone. Rookie Gardner Minshew came in, and was impressive, completing 22-of-25 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, he was powerless to stop K.C. from dropping a 40-burger on them.

The big matchup to watch in this spot is DeAndre Hopkins versus Jalen Ramsey. Hopkins had a monster start to the year, recording 111 yards and two scores on 13 targets. He represents a massive share of the Houston passing game, and it would change the contest dramatically if Ramsey can manage to take him away.

This will also be Minshew’s first career start, and the Texans will have some film on the rookie QB now that he appeared in Week 1. After completing 71% of his passes in his final season at Washington State, and 88% last week, Houston could have their hands full.
