The Los Angeles Chargers have to be wondering how they can avoid the injury bug. The team announced on Wednesday that tight end Hunter Henry has suffered a tibia plateau fracture in his left knee. The timeline for recovery is announced as indefinitely, but the Chargers believe he will miss four to six weeks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Henry suffered the injury on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. He finished the game with four receptions for 60 yards, and while he did leave at one point, he returned and there was no mention of the injury later.
Fantasy impact: Virgil Green will take over at tight end, but his season-long fantasy value is limited for the time being. He might eventually have some DFS value, but it’s hard to see him being a big-time option in the offense at this point. The remaining receivers get a bit of a boost with more targets, but in the shorter passing game, Austin Ekeler will be one to watch for even more work.
