After the Giants shocked the football world by trading Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns, who will step up in the passing game? Enter Sterling Shepard.

Shepard’s path to becoming the No. 1 wide receiver for the G-Men would be a lot easier if it wasn’t for the team’s offseason acquisition of Golden Tate back in March on a four-year deal. However, while Tate and Shepard offer similar skill sets in the Giants’ offense, Shepard might have the upper hand: Shepard is five years younger than Tate, is already familiar with Eli and the New York playbook, and Tate is set to serve a four-game suspension to start 2019 for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
