What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 14?

Brandin Cooks has finally made his return back to the football field after suffering a concussion in Week 8, but his most recent two weeks have been underwhelming to say the least. Last week, Cooks caught two passes for 24 yards against the Arizona Cardinals after similarly catching two passes for only 32 yards the week before against the Baltimore Ravens.

This week, the Los Angeles Rams have another primetime matchup, this week against the division rival Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. That means we will have a Showdown contest, but until Cooks re-establishes himself in Sean McVay’s offense, it’s probably wise to stay away.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 13?

Brandin Cooks made his long-awaited return to the football field, but it was far from an encouraging showing as he caught two passes for 32 yards and added an extra yard on a single rush in the game. We’ll chalk this one up to just a bit of rust after playing for the first time since Week 8, but we can all only hope that’s what the problem was.

This week, the Los Angeles Rams play Sunday afternoon against the division rival Arizona Cardinals. Even with Patrick Peterson at cornerback, the Cardinals have struggled largely against the pass, so if Cooks struggles next week, it could be a sign of future struggles.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 12?

Brandin Cooks missed yet another week due to a a concussion in Week 8. The Los Angeles Rams offense missed Cooks - and Robert Woods - last week against the Chicago Bears defense. The Rams need Cooks to help take the top off opposing defenses, but Cooks’s long-term health is still a concern. It will be important to monitor Cooks’s practice designation all week.

This week, the Los Angeles Rams have another primetime matchup this week, this time hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. That means we will have a Showdown contest, and if Cooks is ready to go, it could be an offensive explosion for both teams - assuming Sean McVay can somehow find whatever made his offensive great earlier in the season.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 11?

Brandin Cooks missed another week due to a brutal hit which resulted in Cooks going limp on the field back in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cooks’s long-term health is of concern now as he’s had three such moments on the field in his short career. He’s come out and said on his Instagram that he’s still very much going to be playing football, but whether or not that happens in Week 11 is still up in the air.

This week, the Los Angeles Rams are set to host the tough Chicago Bears defense on Sunday Night Football. That means we will have a Showdown contest, but before you plug Cooks into your Showdown lineup, make sure you monitor his playing status this week to verify whether or not Cooks is even able to see the field.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 10?

Brandin Cooks’s Week 10 DFS salary is at a season-low of only $5,000 this week, down a total of $1,500 from where his salary opened in Week 1. Cooks is on pace for career worst numbers for yards and touchdowns, and even his catch-rate is 5% lower than his career average in 2019.

The Los Angeles Rams are set to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10, who are roughly middle-of-the-pack against opposing wide receivers, but Cooks’s availability is the first concern. The Rams will be opening up practices for the first time out of the Bye, and with Cooks in the concussion protocol, his playing status for Week 10 is still up in the air.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 9?

The Los Angeles Rams are on their bye this week, but Cooks’s status is still one to monitor after a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit last week against the Cincinnati Bengals likely has him in the concussion protocol. Cooks failed to log any receptions last week, but his long-term health is the bigger concern than his Week 11 status against the Pittsburgh Steelers out of the bye week.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 8?

It’s interesting that Cooks has seen his DFS price actually increase $300 from Week 7 to $5,700. This is despite only registering four receptions on seven targets for 59 yards against a struggling Atlanta Falcons secondary. That is right in line with Cooks’s season average of 57 yards per game, but what’s worse is that Cooks has only found the end zone once all year.

In Week 8, the matchup for Brandin Cooks and the Los Angeles Rams gets worse from Week 7 as they face off against the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals have struggled all year and have yet to win a game, they’ve been surprisingly strong (7th in the NFL) at defending opposing wide receivers. It’s just hard to see value in Cooks’s DFS price this week.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 7?

Cooks seeks his daily fantasy salary couldn’t fall much further, as it’s holding firm at $5,400 from last week. After starting the game last week against the division rival San Francisco 49ers despite nagging injury, Cooks was held to only 3 catches for 18 yards and 14 yards on a pair of rushing attempts.

As Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams continue to struggle, Brandin Cooks will see his production continue to disappoint. The good news for Cooks and the Rams, though, is that they are playing the dumper fire that is the Atlanta Falcons secondary in Week 7 (ranked second-to-last against opposing wide receivers in 2019), so this just might be the week you take advantage of Cooks’s cheap price tag.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 6?

Cooks seeks his daily fantasy salary continue to fall, this time coming in only at $5,400 into Week 6 when the Los Angeles Rams are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers. Last week, Brandin Cooks’s game was cut short with only one catch 29 yards and one rush for 27 yards. A hard hit to the head knocked Cooks out of the game.

Unfortunately for Cooks and his fantasy owners, Cooks is officially in the concussion protocol and is already listed as questionable for Week 6. He has some extra time to get ready having played on Thursday, but you’ll want to stay tuned for news as it develops regarding Cooks’s practice designation all week.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 5?

This week, Cooks and the Rams are set to square off against a talented Seattle Seahawks team on the road in Seattle. Jared Goff has struggled with consistency in 2019, and playing in the home of the 12th Man on Thursday Night Football is likely not going to make things any easier. While Cooks was in New Orleans, he was not afraid to speak his mind and demand more targets, so it will be interesting to see if Cooks keeps his “squeaky wheel gets the grease” mentality while in Los Angeles. Daily fantasy owners can only hope.

Cooks and the Rams face Seattle on Thursday Night Football, which means we get a Showdown matchup. Cooks’ salary for the game is $11,700. It is fourth among receivers behind Cooper Kupp, Tyler Lockett, and Robert Woods. The Seahawks have been in the middle of the pack in DKFP allowed to receivers, so there might be some value here.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 4?

With Cooper Kupp scoring multiple receiving touchdowns for the Rams last week, there are continued questions regarding Cooks’s ability to consistently produce elite numbers in daily fantasy. Cooks currently has a $6,200 salary on Draft Kings this week, despite logging over 100 receiving yards (112) on eight receptions last week against the Browns. Cooks remains a boom-or-bust type player who, unlike his teammate Cooper Kupp, will rarely be used on a high-volume basis. Cooks and the Rams are set to take on a Tampa Bay defense that has had its struggles but is still the 6th best team defending opposing wide receivers in 2019.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 3?

The Rams rolled over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3, and even though Drew Brees left with an injury, the Rams offense deserves credit for a strong showing against a quality Saints defense. Jared Goff threw for 283 yards, and Brandin Cooks was a prime beneficiary. He finished the game with three receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown, good for 16.6 DKFP.

Cooper Kupp remains Goff’s favorite target, but Cooks is still a solid playmaker. He faces a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 on Sunday Night Football. He has a $12,900 salary for the Showdown contest. The Browns shut down the Jets in Week 2, and although they were thumped by the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, the Titans passing game was not super explosive across the board. A.J. Brown hauled in 100 receiving yards thanks in large part to a 51-yards reception, and Derrick Henry had a single 75-yard reception.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 2?

Cooks enters Week 2 with a $6,300 salary, noting a $300 drop from Week 1. He had a quiet week, catching two passes for 39 yards. Aside from Robert Woods, it was mostly quiet for the Rams passing game, likely due in large part to Jared Goff’s struggles. In Week 2, he faces a New Orleans Saints secondary coming off a short week and Sean McVay will likely give Cooks multiple opportunities for big plays against his former team. With the Rams offense, it’s always a question of which of the three (Cooks, Cooper Kupp, or Robert Woods) will be the guy on any given week, but look for Cooks to take a big step in the right direction after a disappointing Week 1.

Brandin Cooks 2019 fantasy football preview

The Los Angeles Rams are an early betting favorite to return to the Super Bowl in 2019, primarily on the heels of what was one of the NFL’s most electric offenses in 2018. Led by Todd Gurley and the creative mind of Sean McVay, the Rams were the No. 2 total offense last year based on average yards per game.

Playing for his third team in three years, Brandin Cooks seemed to thrive in the Rams’ dynamic offense, setting a career mark in receiving yards (1,204) while finishing with only 5 touchdowns, the lowest in Cooks’s career since his rookie year when he played in only 10 games.

There are definite concerns around Cooks’ production in 2019 with the continued questions surrounding Todd Gurley’s health and Cooks’s 2018 potentially attributed in part to the prolonged absence of the underrated Cooper Kupp. Even still, considered the consensus No. 1 receiver in L.A. ahead of teammates Kupp and Robert Woods, the No. 1 wide receiver in a Sean McVay offense still provides tantalizing opportunity.

What is Brandin Cooks’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 1?

Cooks enters Week 1 with a $6,500 salary at DraftKings. He ranks 10th among all wide receivers, behind the usual suspects the likes of Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr. and Mike Evans. He faces a Carolina Panthers team that has been known for its defense in the Ron Rivera era, but the secondary has struggled the past couple of season. If the Rams offense is forced to lean on the golden arm of Jared Goff a little more now with the injury history of Todd Gurley, look for Cooks to take advantage of the homerun shots from Sean McVay.
