What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 13?
While his usage in the passing game has been encouraging (five catches for 59 yards), Le’Veon Bell hasn’t been very instrumental in the Jets’ recent success. Though, following four consecutive weeks with 15.80 DKFP or more, Bell is priced at $7,200 against the league’s worst rushing defense. He could be in line for a big game against the Bengals.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 12?
Bell reached the endzone for the second consecutive week, making his fantasy output (17.20 DKFP) respectable, but nothing special once again. It’s been an underwhelming season for Le’Veon, and his salary drop has reflected that. He’ll head into a home matchup against the Raiders’ middle-of-the-pack run defense at a season-low $6,400.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 11?
In Week 10, MetLife Stadium turned into JetLife Stadium. The New York Showdown resulted in 61 total points, good for the third-highest score of the week. Sam Darnold’s confidence is seemingly back, telling reporters that the Jets are still in the playoff hunt. Technically speaking, he’s not wrong. For Le’Veon Bell hopefuls, that should mean that the Jets won’t be mailing it in just yet, which could result in more usage for the New York back.
Bell recorded his third touchdown of the season, but the rest of his stats didn’t cut it. 34 yards on the ground. 34 yards in the air. It was an underwhelming performance (16.80 DKFP) in a game that had so much offensive action. Although, it was double the fantasy output of Saquon Barkley, so that’s something. The Jets head to Washington to face a team that has allowed the seventh-most DKFP per game to opposing RBs. Le’Veon’s salary has jumped up to $7,200 to account for that, and once again, there are better options at or below that price to consider first.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 10?
The Jets did what no other team has done this season; they lost to the Dolphins. It was quite an atrocious game, which was to be expected from two of the league’s worst teams. Both sides scored a safety, which hasn’t happened since 1994. The Jets were certainly the worse team, as they were only able to reach the endzone once. There weren’t many fantasy points to go around, but Le’Veon Bell took what he could. After a steady four-game decline, Bell ran for 66 yards and caught eight passes (equal team-high with Crowder) for 55 yards, totaling 20.10 DKFP.
It was Le’Veon’s third-highest score of the season, but we were hoping for more against Miami. His involvement in the passing game is very encouraging, he just needs to find a way to convert those touches into touchdowns. His next chance will be in the battle for MetLife Stadium. The Jets are technically the home team, but does that really matter in this one? On a short week for the Giants, and with Bell’s price dropping to $6,900, he could be a viable option. Though, there are better picks you could make in that price range.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 9?
The Jets are trending down ever since their first win against the Cowboys, and with them goes Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy relevance. This is his fourth week in a row with a decreasing output, putting up a season-low of 6.50 DKFP. He saw five targets from Sam Darnold, which tied for the second-most on the team, but targets don’t always translate into points.
This week, the Jets go to Miami to take on the league’s worst team, so it’s a great spot for Bell to bounce back. That being said, if he fails to do so in a game like this, it will make it hard to advocate for Bell moving forward. The Dolphins are allowing the second-most rushing yards per game, so there’s no excuse for Le’Veon this time around. At $7,700, he’s the third-highest priced running back on the slate.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 8?
Monday Night Football has NOT been kind to the Jets this season. The Patriots came to town for the rivals’ final matchup of the season and completely shut down any momentum Sam Darnold and the Jets’ offense may have picked up in Dallas. This was probably the best defensive performance we’ve seen in a long time, leading to a 33-0 win for the undefeated Patriots. Hopefully with New England out of the picture, Darnold will stop seeing ghosts. But then again, Halloween has yet to arrive.
As has been the case for a few games this season, Le’Veon Bell was the only bright spot (relatively speaking) for the Jets, putting up a team-leading 8.60 DKFP. It’s his lowest fantasy output of the season, so things should theoretically trend in the right direction for the crafty RB. Next week, he’ll go up against the Jaguars’ middle-of-the-pack defense. At $6,900 (a $500 bump from his last main slate appearance,) Bell will be a contrarian pick coming off of four lackluster performances in a row.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 7?
Does Sam Darnold make the Jets a good NFL team? Let’s not get carried away, but the offense is significantly better with him throwing the ball, as he put up 338 yards and two touchdowns against the NFC East leading Cowboys. Unluckily for Le’Veon owners, that production mostly went to the wide receivers. Bell did get in for a TD, which at least bumped his fantasy output to 12.30 DKFP, but that’s his second-lowest scoring performance of the season.
Where does Le’Veon find himself in Week 7? Playing the New England Patriots for the second time this season. The first matchup was Bell’s season-low fantasy game. While Darnold definitely opens up the offense and provides Le’Veon with more opportunity to get involved, this is a terrible spot for the running back. On the plus side, it’s a Monday night matchup, so while we don’t yet have his DFS salary, we won’t have to worry about considering him for our main slate lineups. Even in a DraftKings Showdown contest, I’d prefer to roster a Jets wide receiver before Bell.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 6?
So, Sam Darnold wisely did not risk his life in order to suit up against the Eagles, which left Luke Falk at the helm once again. As predicted, the Eagles crushed the Jets 31-6, which keeps them as the only winless team in New York. Also as predicted, Le’Veon Bell was the main source of offense for the Jets, putting up 88 total yards on 15 carries and seven receptions (most of either team.) The troubling part is knowing that Bell will be hard-pressed to find the endzone since the Jets are so bad.
Things don’t get any easier for New York in Week 6. A trip to Dallas is in store. After a home loss to Green Bay, a bounce-back game is exactly what the Cowboys will view this as. The Jets will surely be trailing again, as this game opens as the third-biggest point spread of the week. While the Cowboys just gave up four rushing touchdowns to Aaron Jones, I don’t think we can rely on a similar outcome from Le’Veon. His price has dropped to $6,400, but unless Sam Darnold returns from injury, I would avoid picking Bell.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 5?
Fresh off of a bye week, Le’Veon Bell and the New York Jets will visit the nearby Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5. The Eagles open as 14-point favorites, which is the second-largest spread behind the Patriots/Redskins game. An 0-3 start for the Jets isn’t exactly what they had in mind, but neither was having their starting quarterback contract mono, sidelining him for a few weeks. Sam Darnold hopes to return for this matchup against Philly, but ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that he “still has hurdles to clear” before playing.
The way to attack the Eagles is through the air, which may bode well for Bell, whose average of 40.3 receiving yards per game is good enough for the eighth-best among running backs this season. The Jets’ offense will benefit from having Sam Darnold back in the lineup, but even if he can’t go, Luke Falk will look to Le’Veon in the passing game. At $6,800, he could be a very good play in a game where New York will likely be trailing.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 4?
Three weeks in and the New York Jets maintain their winless record. Granted, that’s not something they’d like to maintain. Just about everyone had them as a shoe-in loss against the Patriots, and, as expected, the Jets offense couldn’t find the endzone. For the second consecutive week, Le’Veon Bell led the offense in fantasy scoring, but put up a season-low 10.30 DKFP. There will be weeks that are far more kind to the crafty running back, so don’t be too concerned.
Week 4 marks the beginning of bye weeks, and the Jets are one of the two teams to get the first long rest. Sam Darnold hopes to make his return in Week 5 against a pass-friendly Eagles team, which would make Le’Veon an interesting play. Philadelphia plays Green Bay on Thursday night this week, giving it a sort of abridged version of a bye week before hosting New York in Week 5.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 3?
The New York Jets haven’t made the playoffs in eight consecutive seasons, with a ninth looking inevitable. But hey, at least they’re not the Dolphins. Sam Darnold remains out indefinitely with mono, while backup Trevor Siemian suffered a gruesome ankle injury on Monday night against the Browns. That left the Jets with Luke Falk. Fortunately, he focused heavily on Le’Veon Bell, bringing Bell’s game total to 10 catches (game leader) and 61 receiving yards. One of those grabs brought him inside the redzone, where he fumbled around the five-yard-line. Aside from that, combined with 68 rush yards, Le’Veon’s 21.90 DKFP performance was encouraging from a fantasy standpoint.
And now for the discouraging news: The Jets have to play the Patriots in Week 3. With Luke Falk as the QB, New York opens up as 21.5-point underdogs, just a half-point bigger than Miami against Dallas this week. New England’s defense is the best in the league through two games, allowing the fewest total yards (492) and zero touchdowns. I can’t bring myself to believe the Jets will be the team to change that, but if there’s anyone on the roster who can, it’s Le’Veon Bell. His Week 3 salary is $7,000, making him the seventh-most expensive running back on the main slate, but you can find better options this week.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 2?
It’s confirmed. Le’Veon Bell can still play football. For those who were worried about the 27-year-old running back coming off of a holdout season, you can rest assured knowing he will do just fine on the New York Jets. Sam Darnold seemed to utilize Bell’s talents in a similar Steelers’ fashion, getting him involved in the passing game as much as possible. Le’Veon had the second-most receptions on the team for a receiving stat line of 6-32-1. His ground game wasn’t anything to write home about, recording 3.5 yards per carry, but that should improve as the season moves on.
The Jets welcome the Browns in Week 2, where both teams will be looking for their first win of the season. Cleveland gave up 123 rushing yards, also allowing the Titans to score five touchdowns (tied for second-most in Week 1.) It’s a Monday night matchup, so your DFS options will be limited to begin with, making Le’Veon one of the more enticing plays on the primetime slate. He has a $17,400 salary in the Showdown contest.
Le’Veon Bell 2019 fantasy football preview
After a season-long stand-off with the Steelers, Le’Veon Bell is ready to return to an NFL backfield. Except this time around, he won’t be repping the black and gold of Pittsburgh. Bell has moved about 370 miles east, where he’ll look to propel the New York Jets into AFC relevance. The running back powers in MetLife Stadium are stronger than ever, but will Saquon Barkley or Le’Veon Bell be New York’s best?
Access that memory from 2017, folks, and you’ll remember just how good Bell was. He logged 1,291 rushing yards and nine rushing TDs, as well as 85 receptions for 655 yards and two TDs. Bell trailed only Todd Gurley in fantasy points among RBs that season. So, we all know what he’s capable of.
The only problem is Bell will have to make due with an offense far inferior to that of the 2017-18 Steelers. Sam Darnold is not Big Ben, and with wide receivers such as Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder, most of the defensive attention will be focused on Bell.
What is Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 1?
Bell heads into Week 1 with a price tag of $7,100 on DraftKings. He’s the seventh-most expensive RB, with the possibility of jumping up to fifth depending on the statuses of Ezekiel Elliott and Melvin Gordon. The Jets start their campaign with a home game against the Bills, who ranked 24th against the run last season. Buffalo has a strong defense on paper, but its weak offense opens the door to more possessions for the Jets’ offense. Look for Le’Veon to get plenty of opportunities in his long-awaited return.
