Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard is officially inactive for Monday Night Football in Week 14 vs. the New York Giants. Howard, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, was not expected to play, per reports prior to the game. He hasn’t suited up since before the Eagles’ bye in Week 9.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard
With Howard out, not much changes in Philly’s backfield against the Giants. Miles Sanders should lead the backfield again after getting 22 touches in Week 13 vs. the Dolphins. He racked up 83 yards on the ground and added five catches for 22 yards and a TD. New York has allowed 114.3 rushing yards per game and this is a crucial home game for the Eagles.
I’d imagine Sanders will get plenty of work again, and he’s a very appealing play in season-long fantasy football formats and on DraftKings’ Showdown contest. I wouldn’t think twice about Sanders. Jay Ajayi did get a few carries last week, but I wouldn’t be concerned about him cutting into Sanders’ production.
