UPDATE #2: Now, Josh Jacobs is NOT expected to play in Week 14. The news comes shortly before the Raiders announce their inactive report.
UPDATE: Raiders beat writer Vic Tafur tweeted that he expects Josh Jacobs to play on Sunday barring something before kickoff. That’s two reports that seem confident he will play, while couching it in language that suggests this is not quite 100 percent.
The Oakland Raiders face a must-win situation in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans, and they hope to have the key to their offense on the field. Star rookie running back Josh Jacobs is a game-time decision with a broken shoulder bone, but is expected to play, according to FOX Sports reporter Pete Schrager.
Jacobs sat out Wednesday and Thursday practice this week, and got in a very limited Friday session. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report, and Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning that he was “a true game-time decision.”
The Raiders don’t play until the late afternoon slate, so plenty of fantasy football owners have to make a decision soon. Schrager did hedge modestly by saying Jacobs would play barring something last second, so that is worth keeping in mind. If Jacobs sits, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard would split the workload, with Richard primarily a passing down option.
