What to do with James Washington, Diontae Johnson in Week 14 fantasy football

Which Steelers receiver deserves a spot in your lineup this week?

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without JuJu Smith-Schuster again this week. He is out of the concussion protocol, but is now dealing with a knee injury. While that is unfortunate for him, it does keep the door open for another potentially big week for James Washington.

Washington has been on a nice run lately. Over his last four games, he’s scored three times and topped 90 yards in three of those outings. Last week against the Cleveland Browns he had 111 yards, a career high for the second-year wideout. And he could feast again this week against the Arizona Cardinals.

While Washington has slid into the No. 1 role, rookie receiver Diontae Johnson has been seeing more work as well. He had a down week against the Browns last Sunday, catching just one pass on five targets, but 12 games he has 423 yards and three touchdowns.

Washington was a hot pick on the waiver wire this week, for obvious reasons. He should have plenty of room to work against the Cardinals this week, making him a nice second or third tier option among fantasy football receivers.

Johnson is more of a long-shot to produce. He certainly could, but it’s hard to justify the roster spot for a boom or bust option like this.
