Best options at point guard for DraftKings NBA contests on Dec. 4

So we’ve finally got a slate with some girth for Wednesday after having to deal with shorter ones for a little bit. That means plenty of appealing point guards to choose from on DraftKings NBA 10-gamer. There are a handful of teams on the second night of a back-to-back and as always with large slates, injuries will play a factor. Keep an eye on the news throughout the day.

Which high-priced stud should I pay up for?

My answer for this question on most days is Luka Doncic ($11,600), and he’s back on the slate after another monster outing last night vs. the Pelicans. But I think Luka’s ownership is strictly for cash games and his price is up there (albeit still affordable).

For this reason, I think Trae Young ($10,400) and Spencer Dinwiddie ($8,200) are two options going up against each other who could pop. Nets-Hawks should be high scoring, both guards are getting big minutes and usage — Dinwiddie has been thriving with Kyrie Irving sidelined. Dinwiddie’s price is at a season high, but that’s because he’s returned value on his salary in almost every game since Irving went down. Young is more of a GPP play with a high ceiling and streaky nature, but this matchup is ideal.

Any under-the-radar options?

Well, I’ve been waiting a long time for a Damian Lillard ($8,100) break out and this may be the night. Dame hasn’t been himself — I think he’s playing through injury right now but don’t quote me. Carmelo Anthony has a little bit to do with that, but Dame’s usage is still high. I feel like he’s a sleeping giant and his price is getting way down; this is a season low for him. Cory Joseph and Yogi Ferrell can’t stop him, either. I like Dame as a contrarian tournament play.

Another name to look at is Devonte’ Graham ($7,700), who has come out of nowhere to become the Hornets’ best player really. His price for the season opener was $3,400 and it’s up $4,300 in a matter of months. He’s averaging big minutes and plus-20% usage for Charlotte, and the Hornets get the Warriors tonight.

Where can I find value at the point guard position?

I’ve been writing a lot about the resurgence of Tomas Satoransky for the Bulls and I think at $5,200, he’s a decent bargain. His minutes are more stable and he provides stats across plenty of categories.

The Hawks are down DeAndre Hunter, so the rotation is thinner. I like Young of course, but cheaper options in Cam Reddish ($3,400) and DeAndre’ Bembry ($5,000) stand out. With Mike Conley potentially out, we could see more of Emmanuel Mudiay ($3,200) for the Jazz tonight vs. the Lakers, who are on the second of a road back-to-back.
