UPDATE
Julio Jones will play against the Panthers. He’s a must start.
Will Fuller had a setback with his hamstring and is a game-time decision. If he can’t go, Kenny Stills gets a bump.
Golden Tate cleared the concussion protocol and should play on MNF.
JuJu Smith-Schuster is out against Arizona. James Washington, Diontae Johnson and Vance McDonald should get a boost in work.
Nelson Agholor is a game-time decision, but didn’t practice on Friday giving him a poor chance of playing on MNF. Dallas Goedert would likely gets the biggest bump in work.
Parris Campbell is expected to play. He has a chance to have value against Tampa Bay with T.Y. Hilton out.
Adam Humphries is out and Tajae Sharpe is questionable. A.J. Brown and Corey Davis get a slight boost in a good matchup.
Adam Thielen is out against Washington. Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph should benefit the most.
Week 14 is here and so are the fantasy playoffs. Last week we saw big games from DeVante Parker, Robert Woods, Courtland Sutton, Alshon Jeffery and Davante Adams to help your teams into the playoffs. Who will it be this week?
Below here, we have our best projections for who will be this week’s fantasy stars at wide receiver. There aren’t any slam dunk matchups, as seen by the low over/unders for Week 14, so this could be an interesting weekend for under the radar plays.
Injury/Status Report
Dan Quinn said Julio Jones’ (shoulder) availability for Week 14 is “trending upward.” He appeared close to playing last week, so he’s probably closer this week against the Panthers.
Frank Reich is “hopeful” T.Y. Hilton will return this season, and Chester Rogers is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a fractured knee. Hilton’s status sounds iffy at best for this week, which should give Zach Pascal and Jack Doyle plenty of work against Tampa Bay.
Bengals activated John Ross from injured reserve, and coach Zac Taylor has already confirmed Ross will have “a role.” He had some explosive games before his injury, so there is a slim chance he breaks out quickly, but he’s not someone you want to mess with in your fantasy playoffs.
Mike Tomlin said JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is questionable for Week 14 against the Cardinals. He also mentioned that James Conner might get on the practice field before Smith-Schuster, so we shouldn’t bank on him playing. If he doesn’t, James Washington should continue to have plenty of upside.
Bears coach Matt Nagy said Taylor Gabriel (concussion) remains in the league’s protocol. His absence would help lift Anthony Miller’s workload again.
WR Ranking Tiers
Tier 1
The 49ers will be a tough matchup for Michael Thomas, but there are a lot of tough matchups this week and Thomas is able to put up stats on anybody.
D.J. Moore now has six or more receptions in his last six games and has topped 75 yards in each of those. He’s now caught a touchdown in his last two games and faces a weak Falcons pass defense.
Tier 2
Amari Cooper continues to deal with nagging injuries, but he did catch 8-of-11 targets for 85 yards last week and the Bears don’t have Tre’Davious White. He should be able to put up numbers, even in a tough matchup.
Jarvis Landry continues to put up good numbers and see plenty of targets. He has five touchdowns in his last five games and faces a bad Bengals defense at home. He remains a safer play than Odell Beckham Jr.
WR Streamers
Zach Pascal against the Buccaneers with Eric Ebron and T.Y. Hilton out has a lot of upside and should be in fantasy playoff lineups.
The same can be said for A.J. Brown in Oakland.
