UPDATE: Gordon will start vs. the Heat.

Gordon will rejoin the starting lineup, but Wes Iwundu will head back to the bench with Khem Birch starting in place of the injured Jonathan Isaac. Birch is an OK value play, but doesn’t offer much upside.

UPDATE: Gordon is set to be a game-time call Friday vs. the Miami Heat. He did go through shootaround this morning, so that’s a good sign.

UPDATE: Gordon is going to be listed as questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Washington Wizards.

UPDATE: Iwundu will start in place of Gordon, while Bamba is available to play vs. the Hawks.

Orlando Magic F Aaron Gordon has been ruled out for Monday’s game vs. the Atlanta Hawks. Mo Bamba is considered a game-time decision, though he’s expected to play. Gordon was forced to leave Saturday’s game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks with a sore Achilles. He went for an MRI and there isn’t any structural damage, so this isn’t considered to be serious right now. Bamba is dealing with an ankle injury, but should be able to play barring a setback in pre-game warmups. Bamba had missed the past two games.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Orlando Magic F Aaron Gordon

So with Gordon out, we could see the Magic go with a three-guard rotation. When Gordon wasn’t able to return Saturday, DJ Augustin played the most minutes off the bench, with Jonathan Isaac and Nikola Vucevic eating up frontcourt minutes. Terence Ross is another name that could benefit. He’d be in line to play minutes at the 3 with no Gordon in there. Bamba cuts into Khem Birch’s time off the bench, and Wes Iwundu should see more run in the starting lineup.
